Food for thought.

Have you ever wondered how many strangers have pictures of family days out hanging in their lounge or bedroom with pictures of you in the background? Or how holding the door open for someone can alter their whole perspective of life for the day? What a 'god morning' text can do to someone? Or what someone might think of you..really think of you? Or which keepsakes someone might keep to remember the impact you had on their life? Or how one thing you might have said to somebody could have been altered and changed in such a way that it resembles nothing to the original?
The truth is we have no control on life, we can't change what makes us happy, or sad, or emotional. We can't change what people think of us, or how we make people feel. Life's too short to consistently complain about everything and anything, to get down by the little things, or to break our hearts over what seem like the big things at the time. We can only be ourselves, try and be as happy as possible, make an impact on someones life, in a good way, and hope for the best. Life's a bitch, but that doesn't give you the right to be. And that's meant in the nicest way possible!

Well that was interesting...!

When you wake up in the morning and are too afraid to move your head, in case the hangover from hell ensues, you know you've had a good night.
So.. Easter Sunday, had lunch with the step family (pass the wine) then had to go to work for 4 hours and finally got home at half nine to my sister demanding I go out with her, (well it wasn't quite that severe...I wanted to really). The taxi was due to arrive in 5 minutes, and I really can't express how much of a state I looked after work, and need more than 20 minutes to get ready in the best of times. So while I was desperately getting into the first dress I saw and scraping some make up onto my face, my sister was ringing my best friend to find me some id. Thanks to the best friend in the world, that little problem was solved and a £20 taxi ride later, we made it into the Wu town for my first night out.
We started in Courtyard, walked straight in without being asked for id, and were greeted by a floor covered, and I mean covered in sand. God knows why. We headed straight for the bar, where we were met by a friend of my sister's who bought us a round of cocktails..which were lush! Several cocktails later, a round or two of shots, and several hugs from strangers (or in other words, my sisters friends) and we left Courtyard a little tipsier and with no cash left, so we headed straight to the nearest cash point where several tangoed crayolas were using the ATM. A lovely homeless man was sat there who we got chatting to while waiting for the crayolas to finish..such a shame he was homeless...
After retrieving funds, we headed straight to mode 'cause we were given free entry tickets from a man wearing an a-frame, and I still didn't get id'd. Again we headed straight to the bar and waited a full 20 minutes while the bar tender (who clearly thought he was the coolest person alive) made our cocktails.. they weren't even that difficult to make, I could have done it in half the time.. while reading the instructions..drunk..in heels. Still, they too were fairly gorgeous cocktails!
And finally, we ended up in Tramps, where only the high life of  Worcester end up! We bought a fish bowl, and headed outside to meet the shortest soldier I have ever met, who persistently tried to hit on my sister.. entertaining to say the least, considering she's a giant. And apparently succeeded while I was trying to make it to the toilets, around the mass of girls taking pictures of themselves in the mirrors. Classy I know.
When I came back, I was greeted with some ..gorgeous guys talking to my sister, she knew them from somewhere, but they were really cool, and took us inside to dance.. and that's what we did..mostly. God only knows where my sister went but me and .. lets call him ..Kyle..started dancing, and tried to hold a conversation..but when that was proved to fail due to the noise, we.. did something else. He was nice!
After our encounter, my sister came and robbed me of the pleasure  and we ended up in Maccie D's for a hangover-reducing, pre-bed meal, and headed home..she was too drunk to stand, it was only fair on the population of Worcester.
So, just to recap, got ready in 5 minutes, met someone (who said I looked gorgeous, in case you were wondering) had more than my fair share of alcohol, didn't get asked for the fake id I had, and didn't have a hangover.
Now that's what I call a good night!
